FCC PUBLIC Ltd., publishers of technical literature, was founded in 1991 in order to maintain the tradition of very successful Czechoslovak professional journals ELEKTROTECHNICKÝ OBZOR (est. 1910) and ELEKTROTECHNIK (est. 1946) merging this two titles in a new magazine ELEKTRO.

FCC PUBLIC now operates a web portal focusing on the electrical industry and related fields (energy, automation, building technology, manufacturing technology, etc.). It traditionally publishes professional magazines ELEKTRO and SVĚTLO in printed and online versions, organizes conferences and seminars.

The publisher's web portal (www.odbornecasopisy.cz) not only offers first-hand information, but also makes available electronic versions of printed journals and thematic specials - to anyone, anywhere and anyhow. The Odbornecasopisy.cz domain occupies a leading position in attendance and ranking among similarly focused media sites. The space on the web and in magazines is, besides the usual content, also available for the presentation of companies and as a free tribune for professional discussions or for the communication of reports of professional associations.

Since May 2020 it has operated the Elektro 4.0 portal in the www.elektro40.cz domain. Its aim is to communicate information on modern trends in industry – with an emphasis on the Industry 4.0 platform.
